Mon, 10 May 2010 08:12:40 +0000https://news.wpblog.mst.edu/2010/05/egyptian_university_signs_agre/#comment-326The Missouri S&T Geology and Geophysics program has established great ties with several Egyptian universities (e.g., Damanhour, Sohag, South Valley, etc.) as well as Alexandria University through multiple NSF sponsored cooperative research programs over the past several years. With any luck we will be back again this year with several more students during the winter break. This is a great program and many friendships from these trips continue to thrive on FB. It’s great to see these ties recognized and formalized as this can only serve to foster better ties between our countries at all levels – we all benefit from this. Thanks to all who worked hard to make this happen!

If an individual’s full name appears in the story, we only list last names in the caption. Dr. Carney’s name was not in the story.

It is after all, supposed to be a mutually beneficial agreement, not a unilateral action.
