Large companies like Boeing have long had a single point of contact for hiring, research, and other partnerships and wanted a single person to coordinate with at S&T. Smaller companies sometimes see the advantages of engaging more with S&T but aren’t sure what specifically they want to do. They want to talk someone who knows the whole campus and brainstorm how new relationships at S&T would benefit their company. The strongest corporate partners are connected to many academic and non-academic departments so it is important for someone to manage the whole relationship. The opportunities for new and expanded partnerships are limited only by imagination and energy.
