If any campus could pull off such an engineering feat, it would be Rolla. Geo systems typically involve tapping into an existing volcanic source of heat. This is not likely in Missouri so I was wondering what is the heat source? I can understand why the wells, thermally insulated, would keep the water hot I or cold but how does the water become heated?

This is a huge success and it should be shown off as a symbol of campus ingenuity and respect for the environment as it also eliminated the need for the on campus coal plant. Keep it up!
