I remember Dr. Sandra Magnus told me her plans, while we were at Rolla together. She planned on being an astronaut since middle school. I said, “Sandy, go for it. I think you can.”
Sandy became an astronaut. She put up the first truss of the space station and the last truss. She expanded it from 3 people to 6 people. Sandy spent several months there, doing experiments.
The last Shuttle mission, 9 years ago, had 3 men and 1 woman. She was the woman. Her job was as payload specialist, moving the equivalent of 3 households of goods into the space station, as well as some items to return to earth.
Dr. Magnus did it, you can too!
