Having gone to the Holocaust Memorial Museum in DC I can say that it can bring one to tears.
One additional thing I would like to mention is the book “Bridging Two Worlds” by Martin Hoffman, a renowned Contract Bridge Player who survived by pretending to be old enough to work in the camp and later escaping capture. There are no bridge hands in that book. I read it in a single day as the most compelling read I had seen in years. It is available at The Bridge World website and in others booksellers as well.
